The jury in the trial involving Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has reached consensus on  four of the five indictments, but remains deadlocked over one.

In a live update from CNN's blog, it was reported that at 4:05 p. m. on Tuesday, July 1, the judge received a note stating: "We have reached a verdict on counts 2, 3, 4 and 5. We are unable to reach a verdict on count 1 as we have jurors with unpersuadable opinions on both sides."

The contentious Count 1 concerns racketeering conspiracy or RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations), while the agreed-upon counts include sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and transportation for prostitution purposes, reports the Mirror US.

Both the defence and prosecution have requested the judge to instruct the jury to resume their deliberations on the outstanding charge.

Diddy is confronted with a total of five charges spanning across three federal cases, which encompass sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. He has entered a plea of not guilty to all accusations and has strongly repudiated any allegations of misconduct, including those claimed in civil court actions.

The rapper's trial kicked off on 5 May with the selection of the jury, a process that saw the judge and legal teams meticulously sift through potential jurors to eliminate any bias. The final selection comprised 12 jurors and six alternates.

However, during the proceedings, one juror was dismissed due to doubts about his honesty, leading to an alternate being brought in.

Prior to deliberations, the judge provided instructions to the jury and allowed the alternates to leave, advising them to stay contactable in case of an emergency.

Roughly two hours into their discussions, the jury sent a note to the court expressing concerns about Juror No. 25's ability to adhere to the judge's instructions.

In response, the judge encouraged them to continue their deliberations, reminding them of the importance of abiding by the law and his directives.
