Ruth Langsford has trialled products from beauty brand Nip+Fab and found two products that helped her to stay sun safe in hot weather. Sharing her day time skincare routine in a recent social media post, the star said the Nip+Fab Illuminate SPF30 Moisturiser (£24.95) and Peptide Fix Top Up Mist with SPF50 (£29.95) have kept her on top of the anti-ageing game.

Suntanning without protection can cause long-term skin damage and accelerate premature ageing and a minimum of SPF30 with at least 4-star UVA protection should be applied onto skin to protect against harmful rays, according to the NHS.

On Instagram, the Loose Women panellist started off by cleansing, then a light layer of milky toner before adding eye gel and drops of vitamin C to help brightening the complexion. 

Then she moved onto the creams, adding: "So more moisture now, this is the Illuminate SPF30 Moisturiser. SPF is very important and I have been very bad at remembering to do SPF but so many products have it now. That feels really nice and it's protecting my face with SPF30, which is great.

She continued: "Last but not least is this, very very clever - this is the Peptide Fix Top Up Mist with SPF50. Look at the shades, you mix the peptides up, I've looked it up, it's quite complicated but they are very clever. So now just spritz a few times on the face, and that's my day time routine done."

By incorporating sunscreen into moisturiser and hydrating mist, in the comments of the post one fan echoed: "The Peptide Fix is a game changer."

Another asked: "Lovely Ruth! ALways enjoy your content. How do you avoid SPF spray going into eyes and is it shiny on makeup after you apply?" And to that, the presenter replied: "I close my eyes when I'm spraying and no it's not shiny when I apply makeup afterwards, just leave it a few minutes to sink in."

The Nip+Fab Illuminate Moisturiser has added copper pigments to brighten the skin and also Egyptian lotus flower extracts for a "dewy skin effect". Shoppers can also find copper peptides in The Ordinary's Multipeptide and Copper Peptides 1% Serum, £28.90, which delivers brightening and firming effects to the skin. 

Olay's Regenerist Day Cream also comes with a sun protection of SPF30 and it's currently at 61% off on Amazon and reduced to £13.25.

On the other hand, the Nip+Fab Peptide Fix Top Up Mist has 3% of peptides, which contributes to plumping, hydrating, and smoothing fine lines as well as having added SPF50 protection. It can be used as a sunscreen top-up and can be packed for travel.

Bioré UV Face Mist SPF is an alternative that is popular in Southeast Asia and shoppers can get this at Superdrug for £11.98; and French beauty fans adored this La Roche-Posay Anthelios Anti-Shine Sun Protection Invisible SPF50+ Face Mist, which is available at LookFantastic at £14.80.

A fan tried the Nip+Fab products and shared her thoughts: "I have started to use this range, negative at the moment is there are so many products to apply am and pm. Also a lot of products to have to take or decant when going on vacation."

One Boots shopper gave a two-star review on the Illuminate Moisturiser, saying: "This didn’t make my skin itch or eyes burn like other SPFs have, but the shimmer made all my imperfections show up more."

But the Peptide Fix Top UP Mist has amassed a high 4.7-star rating with many shoppers saying they "will buy again". One said it's "an useful addition to my skincare routine".

A delighted first-time customer penned: "The scent is light, not overpowering at all and it absorbs nicely into your skin after just two to three sprays. It provides neck coverage too."
