There’s nothing quite like going on holiday and drinking an ice-cold can of Fanta Lemon and sharing a packet of Lays when you’ve been sitting reading in the sun all day.

But, if you’ve got a late-night flight and you’re arriving in the small hours of the morning, you may be panicking more about whether you’re going to be able to grab a quick snack and some bottles of water to tide you over until the morning.

Don’t panic if you’re going to Spain, though. One woman has pointed out that some of the supermarkets are still open at 1am, which is a rarity in the UK.

Florence Grace captioned her video: “Still open at one am?! Spanish supermarkets are the best,” and she shared some of the items that took her fancy while she was in there.

She commented on the “colour of this Sunny D,” and she joked that “you’re not in Spain unless you get this,” referring to the Chovi Allioli.

Florence showed off some more things you can’t get in the UK, including some “biscuit chocolates” that are similar to Maltesers, and an Oreo milkshake that she branded as “very sickly”.

She pointed out that you can get a “mini paella” for less than three euros, which is a bargain, and even a whole bottle of sangria for less than two euros.

“Or, you can get a carton of wine for 99 cents,” she chuckled, as there was a litre of alcohol in the carton.

“This is the best thing about Spanish shops,” Florence gushed, as she stood next to the fresh orange juice machine where you can juice it in front of your eyes so you know it’s as fresh as possible.

She continued her look around with some frozen lemonades, pointing out you can get “a whole a** cake” and she pointed out that the donuts in Spain were “so nice”. Who needs an all-inclusive resort when you can get all these items at the drop of a hat from the supermarket near you?

“You can get a whole big bag of muffins,” she gushed, as Florence perused the Milka chocolate, and the chorizo, which could be purchased for just two euros.

“In Spain, you can get a tub of carrots and a tub of guacamole,” Florence explained, showing off all the salad options that would be perfect if you were having a BBQ with friends and family.

She then went looking through the crisps, pointing out “ketchup flavour” ones, and then she moved onto a huge bag of churros.

“I forget how cheap the alcohol is here,” Florence shared, showing that an individual can of San Miguel is 73 cents. When you compare that to a bubble tea for four euros and 50 cents, it seems wild to Brits.

“This protein coffee is 20g of protein and zero sugar. What is it made of then?” she wondered. She finished the video off by saying “they do the best sweets in Spain”. But what’s more, you can shop at the supermarkets in the early hours of the morning, so no weird holiday cravings will go unmissed.
