Outlander picks up this week after a dramatic cliffhanger and the return of a familiar face, with episode five promising to raise the stakes for Jamie Fraser.
The instalment, titled Send for the Devil, lands in the UK on Saturday, April 4 via MGM+ on Prime Video.
Viewers will need both MGM+ and Prime subscriptions to stream it, and episodes can be downloaded for offline viewing.
In the United States the episode becomes available from midnight on Friday, April 3 on the Starz app.
It will also air on the Starz cable channel at 8pm, with two back-to-back repeats to follow.
Season eight runs for 10 episodes and is being released week by week rather than dropping as a full boxset.
That pacing keeps each new twist and reveal staggered across successive weeks.
A new preview teases a mounting threat to Jamie when a neighbour warns him that Captain Charles Cunningham is on his way.
Elsewhere, William alerts Brianna that fighting has already begun, while Brianna anxiously waits for Roger, who has been detained and forced into combat.
Jamie meets with Buck and Claire and suggests there may be only one option to stop the danger.
Tensions rise further when Elspeth reminds Claire of Jamie’s past and the penalty that could follow; Claire begs him not to go, and although he promises a course of action she cautions that plans can unravel.
The teaser closes on chilling imagery, including a man confronted by rows of bodies shrouded in sheets, underlining the episode’s dark tone.
Outlander continues to air Fridays on Starz in the US and Saturdays on MGM+ via Prime Video in the UK.
