People say 91% Rotten Tomatoes movie with 'perfect' score is flawless | Films | Entertainment

A hilarious film boasting an impressive 91% on Rotten Tomatoes has been hailed as the "perfect movie" by a collection of fans.

Gaining legendary status for its near-immaculate score ever since it first graced screens more than ten years ago, the film continues to captivate audiences with its genius.

A spirited debate recently erupted on Reddit where several individuals proposed the idea that this film could very well be counted among the cinematic greats, and could even be better than Hollywood classics.

The British comedy gem has garnered heaps of acclaim over the years and still catches the fancy of new fans who are just discovering its brilliance.

When a curious cinephile posed a question about the film on the r/movies subreddit, it sparked a lively discussion among users about what constitutes an "absolutely perfect" film.

One passionate user exclaimed: "I think Hot Fuzz is a perfect movie. What movie do you consider to be absolutely perfect? I think Hot Fuzz is a perfect film, genuinely flawless."

Other praises followed, with one fan posting: "The script is tighter than a drum, every single line in the first half pays off in the second, you can rewatch it a hundred times and notice a new gag and it manages to switch genres for the final third and still feel like a cohesive whole."

Questions regarding what defines a perfect movie fueled further conversations as other films akin to Hot Fuzz were mentioned in subsequent comments.

Led by Simon Pegg of Mission: Impossible fame and his comedic comrade Nick Frost, Hot Fuzz hit cinemas back in 2007 under the astute direction of Edgar Wright.

The trio of Pegg, Frost, and Wright continued to churn out highly acclaimed work following their venture with distinguished actor Timothy Dalton in Hot Fuzz, which many assert stands as the zenith of their professional endeavours.

Audiences have been heaping praise on the cult classic Hot Fuzz, as well as its predecessor Shaun of the Dead from the iconic trio Pegg, Frost and Wright. One admirer enthused: "What edges Hot Fuzz to the top for me is that it's actually a fairly interesting crime/mystery movie."

They elaborated: "It's a ridiculous premise, but it's not like other comedy hybrid movies that skimp on the mystery for the sake of comedy." Another added: "Hot Fuzz is indubitably the better movie. But I like Shaun of the Dead better."

Focusing on Metropolitan Police officer Nicolas Angel (embodied by Pegg), Hot Fuzz is an action-comedy film bringing murder mayhem to a tranquil British village.

Another enthusiast pointed out why Hot Fuzz continues to shine is due to its dissection and subsequent 'over-the-top' execution.

Their comment was: "They're both amazing films but I think what really sets Hot Fuzz apart is that the first two thirds of the movie is spent deconstructing the action-packed-buddy-cop genre, and then the last third switches tack and plays it unabashedly-over-the-top straight."

They continued: "You might say the same thing about Shaun of the Dead, but imho Hot Fuzz leans into the switcheroo way harder."

Yet another fan remarked: "I'd rank Shaun last of the trilogy, with the caveat that it's only because one of those movies has to be last and they're all really well-made movies. Hot Fuzz is the best, but World's End has grown on me as I've gotten older."
