Royal couple announce they are expecting a baby - just 12 months after welcoming daughter | Royal | News![]() A royal couple have announced they are expecting their second child this autumn, with the announcement coming just a year after they welcomed their daughter into the world. Princess Alexandra, 34, and her husband, Nicolas Bagory, will become parents again towards the end of the year, giving their daughter Victoire a younger sibling. The news was announced this week by Princess Alexandra’s parents the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. They released a statement on Thursday which read: "Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess have the great pleasure of announcing that Princess Alexandra and Mister Nicolas Bagory are expecting their second child." The happy news comes a year after the princess gave birth to her first child. The couple’s pregnancy news also comes just a month after the princess and her husband celebrated their second wedding anniversary after marrying in a civil ceremony in Luxembourg on 22 April 2023. They then had a religious wedding at Saint Trophyme church in Bormes-Les-Mimosas in France just a few days later. The princess, who is the fourth and only daughter of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, is eighth in the line of succession to the throne. She currently lives with her husband and daughter in France, and works as a professional linguist. It is believed the princess also spends time in Luxembourg with her parents. As reported by numerous publications, the couple’s one-year-old daughter does not hold a royal title. This is also set to be the case with their second child.
