One cook, known online as Swasthi's Recipes, shared their recipe for the tastiest cheese toastie, which incorporates bread, cheese and the added ingredient of garlic. They call this cheese toastie recipe an easy one to make as well as "quick and delicious". This cheese toasty can be made on a pan or in an air fryer, the cook says. It can also be done in the oven if you are making it for the whole family in one go.

Firstly, you need bread that is a medium thickness. You will also need unsalted butter, cheese (whichever you normally use for a cheese toastie), fresh mined garlic and whatever herbs and spices you want to add to it.

The method for making it is pretty simple. The garlic is incorporated into the butter, giving the sandwich a lovely rich garlic flavour when it is cooked. Butter your bread slices on both sides with the garlic butter you have made.

Then, place your pan on a medium heat and once it is at the desired temperature, toast the bread until each slice is crisp on one side. You can then flip the bread slices and toast them on a low heat.

You then spread the cheese over your bread and add in whatever herbs and spices you want. This cook used chilli flakes and black pepper.

Then, cover the pan and cook your toastie on a low heat. Let the cheese melt but make sure that the bread doesn't burn.
