Logitech Blue Yeti is perfect for gamers - and it's on sale

Gamers who have been looking to upgrade their streaming and gaming set-up might be in luck thanks to a new Amazon deal. The Logitech Blue Yeti microphone is currently on sale thanks to Amazon's Tech Week.

The Blue Yeti microphone is £79.99 is currently down from the usual price of £109 and perfect to upgrade your streaming set-up, especially if gamers are considering starting to break into streaming. The Blue Yeti produces clear, powerful, broadcast-quality sound for YouTube videos, Twitch streaming, podcasting, Zoom meetings, and music recording.

There's also multiple channels, including flexible cardioid, omni, bidirectional, and stereo pickup patterns, allow you to record vocals, instruments, and podcasts in ways that would normally require multiple mics. It also has onboard controls so users can configure headphone volume, pattern selection, and mute settings.

Anyone looking for some alternatives, there's the budget ZealSound USB Microphone for £29. There's also the Shure MV6 for £129 if you don't mind spending slightly more on a professional microphone.

The Blue Yeti microphone has more than 30,000 reviews on Amazon. One shopper said: "The Logitech Blue Yeti USB Microphone is hands down one of the best microphones I’ve used for recording, streaming, and podcasting. Straight out of the box, it’s easy to set up—just plug it into your PC or Mac, and you’re good to go. No complicated drivers or software needed.

"The audio quality is outstanding. Whether you’re recording vocals, streaming games, or hosting a podcast, the clarity and richness of the sound are top-notch. The built-in gain control, mute button, and headphone output are thoughtful additions that make live monitoring and adjustments incredibly convenient."

However, some shoppers had some complaints. One shopper listed their annoyances, which included: "What I didn't like: The microphone is incredibly sensitive. Even picking it up and placing it down again sounds like an earthquake is happening. The microphone does not have a volume limiter, so it peaks quite easily and makes the quality of the recordings decrease drastically.

"Talking into the microphone without a pop filter is a massive no-no. The "pop" sounds are extremely prominent and can send anyone you're talking to round the bend if you don't get a pop filter."
