Best times to visit DIY stores over Easter weekend - IKEA, B&Q and Wickes | UK | News

Millions of British people are set to use the Easter weekend to catch up on some DIY tasks around the house. With children off school and some managing to get time off work, it’s the perfect time of the year for it.

Some experts suggest that as many as half of all Brits are likely to pick up the hammer and fix something around the house, especially on Sunday when all the shops are closed. But what is the best time to go and get supplies amid all the Easter shopping chaos.

According to DIY home improvement experts at Suffolk Pocket Doors, it varies from shop to shop.

The experts analysed Google My Business data for busiest and quietest hours at eight of the UK’s largest DIY shops.

They said: “Visiting during a quieter period means you have a chance to speak to an expert who will have more time to understand your project and advice.

“Quieter periods - especially after opening - should mean more stock is on the floor giving your better choice and price levels available.”

Below are the best and the worst times to visit each DIY store.
