Morrisons announces major change to vegetables

Morrisons customers preparing for an Easter food shop are in luck as the supermarket chain has announced astonishing prices across its British seasonal veg range. Savings as big as 89% can be had on a range of vegetables offered by Morrisons - perfect for a roast dinner centrepiece.

One caveat is that shoppers must have a More Card to receive the discount. From today until Easter Sunday (April 20), loyalty card holders can pick up 1kg of British carrots, 500g of British parsnips, and a British whole swede for just 8p each. Premium products are also included, with ‘The Best’ potatoes 2kg being sold for "better than half price" at just £1.10.

According to a recent Which? Study, shopping at Morrisons with a More Card is marginally cheaper than shopping without one.

In March 2025, Morrisons was ranked the fourth cheapest supermarket for a shopping list of 203 items. With a More Card, the average price of the items totalled £522.27 compared to £534.80 without a loyalty card.

With sizeable savings on offer this Easter, there's a chance for Morrisons shoppers to bag even bigger bargains than usual.

Gareth Lloyd, Head of Marketing Events at Morrisons, said: “With these huge savings, we’re making it easier for everyone to enjoy a traditional Easter meal without compromising on quality.

"These vegetable price cuts are part of Morrisons ongoing commitment to deliver quality and value, particularly during key seasonable moments when food plays an even bigger role within our customers' households.”

Carrots have been reduced by 88%, from 69p for a 1kg bag to just 8p. Meanwhile, parsnips are reduced by 89% this week, from 75p to 8p.

A whole swede will set customers back 87% less than usual this week, down to 80 from 62p. The Best Potatoes have been slashed from £2.30 to £1.10 - a 52% saving.

The offer includes roast veg favourites from spring carrots to roasties from Monday, April 14 to Sunday, April 20.
