Give your old broken phone to Samsung to get the Galaxy S25 for hundreds less

If you have had your eye on one of the Samsung Galaxy S25 phones but the price seems a little too steep, the latest discounts from Samsung itself on its latest devices could make the purchase much more manageable - but the deal is only on until 11:59pm on Tuesday April 15, 2025.

Right now, Samsung is slashing £200 off the RRP of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus or Galaxy S25 Ultra when you trade in any phone in any condition. That means you could trade in your current phone, or one that’s several years old sitting dormant or even broken in a drawer somewhere.

“Get a guaranteed £200 off when you trade in any smartphone in any condition,” Samsung said on its website. “We even accept broken or cracked phones.”

That means you can pick up the Galaxy S25 for just £599 until Tuesday. Not only that, but if you purchase any of the S25 phones during this offer period, Samsung will also throw in a free pair of Galaxy Buds 3 wireless earbuds worth £159.

You’ll get the free buds even if you don’t trade in a phone for the £200 discount, and this offer also ends at 11:59pm on Tuesday.

That means you can grab the S25 Plus from £799 instead of the usual £999, and the S25 Ultra will cost you £1,049 instead of £1,249.

When you purchase your phone, Samsung will provide you with instructions on how to send in your old phone. But we warned, though it looks as though the firm will send you your new S25 as soon as you’ve paid, not trading in your existing device has consequences.

“Purchased phone will be blocked if you don't send us your Trade In device,” Samsung notes in the terms and conditions. So, don’t try and cheat the system! Samsung will likely provide a freepost label for you.

It's rare to see such a generous offer from Samsung. £200 off for grabbing an ancient broken phone from your drawer is quite an easy way for you to save a chunk on the S25 phones.

Express.co.uk reviewed the S25 and S25 Plus when they were released, awarding the duo four stars out of five. £599 for the S25 in particular is an excellent offer.

Better still was our opinion of the S25 Ultra, the four-and-a-half-star review praising the updated design, incredible performance, top battery life and large display with the inclusion of the S Pen stylus.
