Salmon will taste ‘perfect and crispy’ with this incredibly easy trick

A nice bit of salmon is quick to make and getting that perfect crispy skin without ruining the fish is easier than ever. In a YouTube short by @SenpaiKai9000, the "best chef ever", he shared his method of "how to cook perfect salmon every time." Showing a plate of a cooked salmon fillet to the camera, he promises viewers that it is "[The] laziest, easiest, most efficient recipe," and he couldn't be more correct, some fans say.

First, you'll want to get a pan and add a bit of oil. Wait until the pan "starts smoking" before adding your salmon, with the skin side down and tet the salmon cook on a "medium-low heat." How long it should be cooked for is not specified. However, he points out the colour change of the filet and explains to viewers that the appearance of the white colour is the key to telling that the fish is cooking.

The chef, who cooked his salmon so it came out "medium, medium-rare" let viewers know that regardless of different preferences, his way of cooking will leave homecooks with "super crispy skin" on their salmon.

To reveal just how successful the technique is, he went in with a knife scrapping the salmon skin to show the crisp texture before breaking a bit of the skin off and having a bite.

He then went in with some browned butter, lemon juice, and even added a few tarrago flowers to complete the dish and just like that you have the simplest way to cook delicious salmon with a crisp.

The video bagged 44,000 likes and over 400 comments. Over in the comments, the chef also added in another tip. He wrote: "I would actually throw that pan in the oven at 350ish in the oven. Skin side down the whole time."

One person commented: "That's exactly how I do it. I love cast iron for cooking salmon skin, always comes out so crispy."

Another praised the chef for his easy methods, they said: "Love your videos. The cooking is actually something you can do as a college student," to which the video creator responded: "That's my goal. Entertaining/dopey but secretly useful technique."
