Apple may have recently launched its new iPad and iPad Air devices but one of its biggest rivals is now fighting back. Samsung has just announced that it also bringing a refreshed tablet to stores with the release of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and bigger Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. These portable gadgets get a swathe of upgrades, including slimmer bezels, impressive cameras, long battery life and a speedy Exynos 1580​ processor. The standard model gets a 10.9-inch 90Hz panel while the S10 FE+ packs a 13.1-inch LCD screen into its chassis.

Samsung also boasts that the FE is now lighter and more portable than before, but it's still been designed to survive life in your backpack and is water resistant.

They are also built for clever AI, with both tablets getting features such as "Circle to Search", which lets you find things on the web by simply scribbling around an image.

"Object Eraser" can retouch images in a flash, "Best Face" makes sure every photo is perfect and "Auto Trim" can create mini family movies from your camera roll automatically.

There is also an update for those who use Samsung Notes on their tablet with the Galaxy Tab S10 FE range, getting Solve Math for quick calculations of handwriting and text and Handwriting Help to tidy up notes more easily.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ are available from today and there's a tempting reason to consider taking the plunge.

Samsung says those buying one at launch can claim the AI Book Cover Keyboard Slim worth up to £169.

This will instantly transform it from a tablet into a laptop.

Of course, Apple also has keyboard cases for its iPads, but the US technology giant never offers free promotions, and you won't walk out of an Apple Store with this accessory unless you pay. Another bonus of buying from Samsung is that the company also includes an S Pen in the box for writing notes on the display. That's something else Apple charges more for.
