Pierce Brosnan speaks out on James Bond return rumours – but in another 007 role | Films | Entertainment Pierce Brosnan was iconic as the suave James Bond of the 1990s, and there’s speculation that he could return to the 007 franchise under Amazon MGM. Following the streaming giant’s acquisition of creative control from the Broccoli family at EON Productions, it now feels like anything’s possible. The 71-year-old was recently asked if he’d like to return as an older version of Ian Fleming’s spy, to which he admitted, “Of course, how could I not be interested?” He most recently played an M-type spy chief in the MI6 spy thriller Black Bag, which is currently playing in cinemas. Given his success there, fans have been speculating that Brosnan could return as M in the next Bond movie, to which he has now spoken out on. Promoting his new Paramount+ series MobLand, co-starring Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren, Brosnan shared: “Really? That’s nuts.
