Mortal Kombat 1 fans are counting down to the early access release of the T-1000 character from Terminator 2.

The latest guest character is available as part of the Khaos Reigns expansion pass. T-1000 has a March 18 release date on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. While there's no official release time, previous new Kombatants have typically been added to the game at 4pm GMT UK time. 

Unfortunately, however, T-1000 will initially only be available to owners of the Khaos Reigns expansion pass.

The Khaos Reigns expansion pass grants one week early access to new characters.

If you don't have the Khaos Reigns expansion and want to add Conan the Barbarian to your roster, you can purchase the character individually from March 25.

The good news is that Mortal Kombat 1 and Khaos Reigns are currently available at discounted prices on PS5.

Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns Kollection kurrently kosts... ahem, currently costs £24.74 on PS5.

The package contains the base Mortal Kombat 1 game, as well as the original Kombat Pack, Khaos Reigns story expansion, Kombat Pack 2 and a Johnny Cage skin.

If you already own the base game, you can grab the Khaos Reigns expansion for the reduced price of £13.19 until March 26.

In addition to the new character, Mortal Kombat fans have also been treated to a look at the upcoming movie sequel.

Launching later in 2025, Mortal Kombat 2 stars Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Lewis Tan as Cole Young.

The plot sees the returning heroes from the 2021 movie head to Los Angeles to recruit Johnny Cage.

Karl Urban is said to provide a fresh spin on the character of Johnny Cage, who has been part of the gaming franchise since the very first release back in the 1990s.
