Ben Stiller on 'funniest movie scene ever' - and it's not one of his | Films | Entertainment

US actor and director Ben Stiller is known for his film roles in comedy films like "Meet the Parents", "There's Something About Mary" and "Zoolander".

However, as well as starring in comedy films himself, it seems he is a fan of them too, judging by one of his most recent posts on social media site X.

The 59-year-old Hollywood star has revealed what he thinks is 'one of the funniest movie scenes of all' time – and it's safe to say many fams agreed.

The revelation came after one person took to social media to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the 2008 film "Step Brothers", starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly. Sharing a clip of the infamous dinner scene, Stiller hailed it as "one of the funniest scenes in all of movies ever made in the history of movies being made".

His post quickly gained traction, amassing 62,000 likes and over 6.2 million views. Fans echoed Stiller's sentiments, with one commenting: "Frankly, that movie may be one of the best movies full of great comedic scenes from beginning to end. Some start with great comedy, but peter out while they get through the plot. Not this one."

Others thought the same, with comments such as "Agree 100%, Stiller. This gem never gets old! " and, "This scene lives in my head rent-free."

Many fans also expressed their love for the line, "What's this guy's deal? ", delivered by Richard Jenkins' character Robert, claiming it 'gets them every time'.

While many fans were enamoured with a particular scene, some expressed a preference for Ben Stiller's own work in the classic comedy 'Meet the Parents'. One fan remarked: "I don't know man, your dinner table scene in Meet the Parents tops this, but this is also damn good. Your grace in Meet the Parents is LMAO."

Another chimed in: "Great scene, but the Meet The Parents teet-milking scene at the dining table when you also knock over the urn with Jack's moms ashes is epic."

Additionally, an eagle-eyed viewer drew parallels between the scene and the acclaimed TV series 'Severance', which Ben directs, noting Adam Scott's presence in both.

Curious about the connection, they inquired: "Be honest Ben, how much did Adam's performance in this scene influence you casting him in Severance?" To which Ben responded: "Completely. It's when i knew he was an incredible actor."
