PS5 and PC fans can get 'budget beast' 165hz gaming monitor for £95 | Gaming | Entertainment

If you are gaming on a budget and or need a second monitor for your PC, Xiaomi has a new deal on a gaming monitor which might tempt you to pull out your wallet.

The G27i gaming monitor has a 165hz screen—great for high-refresh gaming in Counter-Strike 2, Call of Duty: Warzone, and other fast-paced games. And now, the price might be too good to ignore if you've been in the market for a new monitor.

Xiaomi has launched a secret deal on the monitor, knocking the price down to £94.99—one of the cheapest monitors on the market. It's perfect for PS5 or PC gamers who want a gorgeous 1080p screen to stay smooth during higher-framerate games.

It comes with a 165hz screen, which is IPS, so you'll get a crisp, quality monitor. It also has FreeSync, so you don't need to worry about tearing if you have an AMD graphics card or PS5.

There's also a 1ms GTG quick response time, which helps reduce freezing and dynamic blur and helps players move quickly to win in competitive games where every second counts. Xiaomi also says that every monitor has been strictly inspected for colour calibration before leaving the factory to ensure that the factory colour is accurate, meaning it's fantastic for gaming and good for visual work, too.

Reviews are also glowing, with one reviewer calling it a 'budget beast' monitor. They added: "I can say that the 165Hz refresh rate is a game-changer. The smoothness it brings to fast-paced games is noticeable, making gameplay feel much more responsive and fluid.

"The colours are vibrant, and the 1ms response time ensures there’s minimal motion blur, which is great for competitive gaming. Setting up was a breeze, and the build quality felt solid. Overall, it’s a fantastic monitor for its price."

However, some people have complained about the lack of speakers and inputs. PC Gamer noted: "To get to this price point there have had to be sacrifices, and the G27i comes without speakers (but you never used the built-in speakers on your monitor anyway) and a sparse selection of inputs—just a single HDMI 2.0 and a lone DisplayPort".

Fancy an alternative? Very has a slightly similar HP Omen 24-inch monitor for £129 that has good reviews. Or, if you're really looking to splash out, you can go all out on Dell's 4K OLED monitor for £989.
