PS Plus subscribers in race against time or risk expensive dilemma | Gaming | Entertainment

Sony finally announced the next wave of PS Plus Extra and Premium games during the recent State of Play event.

Headlined by Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, the next batch of PlayStation Plus games will be available on the morning of February 18.

Unfortunately, however, countless PS4 and PS5 epics are leaving the service on the same day, leaving subscribers in a race against time to finish any outstanding campaigns.

Games leaving PS Plus in February include Japanese role-playing game Tales of Arise, which features a lengthy campaign.

In fact, multiple games in the Tales of series are leaving the service on the same day, including Tales of Symphonia Remastered, Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition and Tales of Zestiria.

These are epic games that are well worth playing, but you'll need to get your skates on.

Other games leaving PS Plus Extra include Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice Edition, Outriders and Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition.

If you don't manage to finish off the campaigns of the aforementioned titles, you'll need to wait until they potentially return to the service in the future, or purchase the games individually from the PlayStation Store.

With Tales of Arise and Outer Worlds Spacer Edition priced at £49.99 each (outside of sales) and games like Bulletstorm and Tales of Symphonia costing upwards of £34.99, it's an expensive dilemma.

While it's disappointing to lose quality games like Tales of Arise and Outer Worlds, the good news is that multiple new releases will be available on the same day.

Starting February 18, PlayStation Plus subscribers can download the aforementioned Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, as well as TopSpin 2K25, SaGa Frontier Remastered, Somerville, Tin Hearts, Mordhau and perhaps most exciting of all, brand new day-one release Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 1.

Lost Records is the new episodic narrative adventure from Life is Strange studio Dontnod.

The game takes place in the "sleepy little town of Velvet Cove", where players will navigate a dual timeline following an unexplained event.

The second episode will also be available with PlayStation Plus Extra, but not until April 15.
