Appeals have been launched for information about British tourist who vanished in the early hours of Saturday morning in Madrid. Edinburgh University history student Gregor Thomson, 21, disappeared during a weekend trip less than a full day after arriving in the Spanish capital with rugby club teammates. Relatives have said Gregor's last-known location was Diverzo Cocktail Bar which is where he became seprated from his friends, reports The Mirror.
In post on Facebook, his friend Liv Anderson shared an urgent appeal for information, writing: "Hi everyone, I am reaching out in hopes of locating my friend who has gone missing in Madrid. He is part of a rugby team from Scotland and was with his teammates at the bar."
She added: "They all left together. However he returned to the bar on his own to retrieve something he had left. He has not been seen since then.
"His teammates and captain had been at the police station yesterday (Sat 26th), and the police officially named him as a missing person last night.
"His phone is dead (most likely) and we don't know if he has ID on him or knows exactly where he is, as it was their first day and he does not know Madrid.
Ms Anderson concluded: "If anyone has seen him or has any information please reach out immediately. Please share this if you can, to help spread the word. Call 112 for police."
