Atomic Kitten sensation Liz McClarnon has excitedly shared her pregnancy news with fans in an endearing social media post. The pop songstress captured a heartfelt video of herself nestled on a bench in a stunning garden, where she shared the joyous announcement to her followers.
Liz, who tied the knot with Peter Cho in 2023, penned in her message: "I started to record a video of me just telling you but I got too emotional so I thought I'd just hide behind this little announcement instead. I just can't believe we're here. So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse. I want to share what I can and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with IVF and loss after so much hope."
Her post was filled with gratitude: "I've been a part of some beautifully supportive communities. I'm so grateful. I am so grateful!".
In the footage, she basks in the garden's sunshine. She captioned the video reveal by writing: "I've been keeping a secret from you... And I've mostly kept myself off social media because sometimes it was hard to smile... But after years of sometimes quite painful IVF and quite dark times."
Then, with a gleeful rise from the bench, she turned to unveil her growing baby bump. Overwhelmed with delight, Liz exclaimed: "I'm pregnant!" proceeding to caress her tummy and share: "We feel like we've been given the world!"
Her celebrity pals were swift in offering their hearty congratulations, with Michelle Heaton writing: "So unbelievably happy for you both. I know how the road has been unkind to get here... but look at you now... so so happy xx love to all three of you xx."
Hear'Say star Suzanne Shaw shared: "Love you lots," among the fans who expressed their elation, with one commenting: "Sending you all the love in the world. You are going to be an amazing 'fun in a bun' mum! This has made my day! Couldn't be happier."
"Happy tears I promise!!! Congratulations, so so happy for you," exclaimed another thrilled user.
Meanwhile, Atomic Kitten's Natasha Hamilton couldn't contain her joy, penning: "Literally couldn't be any happier for you both! After all you've been through, this little miracle is everything."
Liz previously shared about her health woes back in 2009 when she started experiencing fainting spells. Initially attributing it to her hectic lifestyle and forgetting meals, it soon became clear that something more serious was amiss.
Initially mistaking her symptoms for an ectopic pregnancy, Liz underwent emergency surgery only to learn she was not pregnant at all and during the surgery, doctors discovered that her fallopian tubes had fused together, leading to severe cramping.
Reflecting on the ordeal, she expressed the emotional epiphany it brought: "Having thought even briefly that I might never be able to have my own children made me realise what agony that would be, and made me want to help people in that situation."
