Strictly Come Dancing sensation Saffron Barker has been rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. The YouTube personality, 24, opened up about her distressing week on Instagram, sharing an mage of herself in tears, seated in a dentist's chair clutching a stuffed toy. Alongside the photo, she penned: "In the last week, iv been in hospital, had emergency surgery, got my rental car completely smashed up and every single thing i own stolen including my passport so cat get home". [sic].

Later, she posted an inspiring quote that resonated with her recent struggles: "You've made it through things you once thought would break you. Don't forget to give yourself credit for that. You're stronger than you know, and there's more softness, more joy, and more magic ahead. Keep going." While Saffron has not disclosed the reason for her hospital dash or the nature of her surgery, she has been actively updating her social media with snapshots from Palm Springs, California, USA, reports the Mirror.

Just last week, she uploaded a video capturing her American escapades with friends, showcasing her hotel room and sharing laughter. She teased her followers with the caption: "Come travel with us! PLEASE stick around for her penguin impression cry of laughter every time .."

Subsequently, Saffron also shared images of herself donning gym attire while striking poses on the sunny streets of Palm Springs.

On Saffron's TikTok page, a romantic video showed her and new beau Josh Miln getting ready for a night out in a hotel room. Saffron was captured doing her hair and makeup, before slipping into a stunning red dress, with Josh lending a helping hand to tie the back.

Alongside the adorable clip, she gushed in the caption: "My forever date @Josh Miln".

However, beneath the post, worried fans expressed their concern following Saffron's earlier Instagram revelation about her hospital visit. One fan commented: "Just seen ur insta story hope ur okay saffron".

Another added: "I just saw your story, i seriously hope your okay. thinking of you", while a third wrote: "Just seen Instagram, what the hell is going on. Hope you are ok xx".

The Strictly Come Dancing star, who partnered with AJ Pritchard in the 2019 series, had previously opened up about a health scare in October, revealing she was rushed to hospital after experiencing "shooting pains" and breaking out in "rashes all over my body".

At the time, Saffron shared her terrifying ordeal, explaining how doctors suspected she might have contracted a disease while on holiday. Recounting her symptoms, she said: "I had all the symptoms (of a tropical disease) being, rashes all over my body, headache, body aches, shooting pains in my body, temperature, sore throat and ears etc."

Following a series of blood tests, Saffron revealed that although she didn't have the suspected disease, her white blood cell count was alarmingly low, leaving her body struggling to fight off the infection.
