Lorraine Kelly displayed a youthful appearance in a pink dress when she represented the ITV show at King Charles' special reception for cancer charities, and fans loved the 'gorgeous' dress she wore.

Sharing a picture taken outside the lavatories at the Buckingham Palace on Instagram, the 65-year-old presenter put on a pink midi dress featuring lightweight floral woven fabrication across the bodice. The Yasmin Floral Detail Midi Dress from Australian brand Forever New, is priced at £130 and it also comes with a light blue version, available at Next for the same price.

The dress, available between UK4 and UK16, is an ideal summer dress as it's made with lyocell and a touch of linen to keep it breathable and lightweight. The delicate floral appliqué embellishments align with the popular 'romantasy' fashion trend we've seen a lot of this year (think lace, tulle, florals, and pale hues). The split neckline and flowing midi skirt add elegance to the dress and allow for some lovely draped movement. However, the dress does not have any pockets, which could be an issue with shoppers who want to carry a micro bag to special events.

The long blouson sleeves are perfect if shoppers are looking for a dress that covers their arms but remains breathable. And the removable waist tie, which is complete with a floral detail, offers a choice to cinch it or wear it relaxed, according to the Mirror.

Some shoppers mentioned a long refund process after returning a dress purchased through the official website and suggested it might be better to buy from third-party retailers like Next. 

Linen might be the go-to fabric for summer dressing, but organza is also a popular choice. Shoppers can consider Wallis' Textured Organza Midi Shirt Dress (£75 at Debenhams) it has a modern collarless neckline, voluminous sleeves with fitted cuffs and a waist-defining belt. Lorraine styled the Forever New midi effortlessly with a pair of neutral court heels and simple gold jewellery, but later switched to what appear to be M&S' flat braided sandals, showing the versatility of the dress.

One fan liked how the dress brightened Lorraine's complexion and said: "You look gorgeous in that dress." And a second echoed: "That dress is gorgeous."

However, the soft pink shade sported by Lorraine is currently only available in petite sizes as all others have sold out. The regular size can be found in a light blue colour, perfect for spring.
