The UK could be in for a wet and warm Friday later this month, as heavy rain is expected across the whole country despite a top temperature of 16C. According to WX Charts, those living in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland will be in for rain on May 17.
However, the online forecaster also predicts a mild day with temperatures in the mid-teens across most of the country around noon. South-west Scotland could see a balmy 16C, while Wales could see 15C and England will see between 17C in the south-east and 12C in northern areas. Northern Ireland will also see temperatures in the mid-teens.
It is important to note that specific forecasts about future weather far in advance are subject to change. For that reason the Met Office - the UK's official forecaster - does not make detailed geographical predictions weeks ahead of time.
Nevertheless, WX Charts predicts rain across the country on May 16, persisting in southern areas over May 17. The south of England in particular is forecast to see rain along the entire coastline. The rain is also expected to reach into London and as far north as Yorkshire.
Remaining breezy in the north and northeast with a few showers. Elsewhere, dry with plenty of clear spells but turning much chillier than of late with a touch of frost likely in the countryside, from the Pennines northwards.
A fresher start, but for most it'll remain dry with sunny intervals. A few showers likely along North Sea coasts and feeling cool here especially in the wind.
