Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not return to the UK after Harry lost an appeal over the levels of security he and his family are entitled to if and when they visit the UK. The couple stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to the US, where they have lived ever since, raising their two children. In an interview with BBC News, Prince Harry shared his fears over bringing his family to the UK.
He said it is now “impossible” for him to bring his wife, Meghan, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK safely after the result of the court case. The prince added that he “can't see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK”.

Harry has endured a rocky relationship with his father, King Charles, following several accusations he and Meghan Markle made towards the Royal Family when they stepped down as senior royals.
In this new interview, the prince said his father “won't speak to me because of this security stuff”.
The Duke of Sussex has told the BBC he “would love a reconciliation” with his family, he also said he was “devastated” at losing a legal challenge over his security in the UK.
Prince Harry also said during the interview that he did not want to fight anymore and did not know how long King Charles had left to live.
On Friday May 2, the Court of Appeal dismissed the prince's case, which hinged on how an official committee made the decision to remove his eligibility for automatic, full-scale protection in line with what other senior royals receive.
Sir Geoffrey Vos explained that while the Duke of Sussex's personal arguments were both “powerful and moving”, he concluded, having studied the detail of the case, that “I could not say that the Duke's sense of grievance translated into a legal argument for the challenge to Ravec decision”.
