The grieving father of the late Virginia Giuffre has admitted he doesn't believe the Jeffrey Epstein victim died by suicide. On Saturday (April 26), it was reported that the activist, who accused Prince Andrew and Epstein of sexual abuse, died by suicide at the age of 41.
Giuffre was one of the outspoken accusers to come forward about about convicted sex offenders the business mogul and Ghislaine Maxwell. She alleged they trafficked her to the Duke of York when she was 17, which Prince Andrew has strenuously denied.
Now, her heartbroken father Sky Roberts has spoken out in a new interview with Piers Morgan on his YouTube show Piers Morgan Uncensored where he shared his belief that his daughter didn't die by suicide.
He told the broadcaster about her passing that there was "no way" she took her life, in his opinion. He said: "Well, first of all, I couldn't even believe it. I mean I started crying right away.
"I'm still crying. I can't believe this is happening. It just, it's impossible. And then for them to say that she committed suicide, there's no way that she did. Somebody got to her."
When he was asked how he would like his daughter to be remembered, he explained: "As someone who actually got out of a bad situation and made a good situation out of it, that she was helping a lot of other young girls that were feeling the pain of what goes on with people like that...
"I think she's strong, very strong, and that's why I don't think she committed suicide. She had too much to live for. She had her foundation." When he talked about the claims she made throughout her life, he declared: "I believed everything that she said. You know, I mean, she was my daughter."
The grieving father was then quizzed about whether the photo of Virginia and Prince Andrew could have been faked, where he revealed that he'd seen the picture years before it was released to the public.
He confessed: "Virginia sent the original picture, so I know it wasn't faked, but the original picture of Prince Andrew and her with Ghislaine Maxwell in the background, so I know that's true that she did. She was there with him."
Piers replied: "Sorry, she showed you that picture, did you say?" to which he replied: "Yes, my mom had an eight by 10 inch photo." The presenter pushed further: "And when did she first show you that?" as he revealed: "Many years ago when it happened."
Piers clarified: "But before it became public knowledge?" to which he replied "yes". When he was asked about the large settlement Prince Andrew paid his daughter, Sky admitted: "I mean, it kind of admits guilt when you do that, when you pay somebody off like that, just, when Jeffrey Epstein paid, when Maxwell paid, it's admitting guilt. I mean, why would he spend 142 or 15 million to give to her?"
When he was asked about how he feels about the disgraced Prince now, he fumed: "I don't care for him at all. I mean he's a) a powerful figure, and he just thinks he can do what he wants to do."
Sky added that he had met Jeffrey Epstein when she started working for him and confessed he "seemed like a normal person". He went on: "I went to his mansion and he came out in jeans and a T-shirt and just acted like a regular person, so I had no idea."
On discovering the truth, Roberts said he was "really angry" and was later told the billionaire had threatened that if she said anything that "he has the power to do anything he wanted" to her family. The full video is available on Piers Morgan Uncensored on YouTube.
