Priscilla Pointer, who played Rebecca Wentworth, the mother of Victoria Principal's character Pamela Ewing, in Dallas has died at the age 100. The iconic actress died on Monday at an assisted living facility her son, the writer-director David Irving, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Her daughter Amy Irving paid tribute on Instagram. Alongside a picture of her mother eating a slice of cake while wearig a floral crown she her mother died “peacefully in her sleep at the age of 100, hopefully to run off with her 2 adoring husbands and her many dogs. She most definitely will be missed.” Priscilla was also know for playing her real life daughters mother on screen in the 1976 horror classic Carrie.
Tributes quickly flooded in for the centenarian. "What a life, what a career, what contributions she made. May her memory be a blessing," one person write in comment to Amy's post. "She was a wonderful and brilliant actress who really had me hooked in her films. May she rest in peace," another wrote.
