Ex-GB news presenter Dan Wootton ripped into Meghan Markle on Tuesday as the Duchess of Sussex broke down in tears when she appeared on her friend Jamie Kern Lima's podcast.

Meghan could be seen crying as she was handed a secret letter from Prince Harry during the show. Jamie told the Duchess: "This has never been seen before," before adding that the letter was from Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

However, Dan was sceptical over Meghan's seemingly raw display of emotion, as he discussed the footage with Royal News Network CEO Brittany on his 'Outspoken' YouTube show.

Dan said: "We were both sceptical because it looked like Meghan purposely for the first time did not wear make-up, and we know she has her tear trick. She knows how to turn on the tears! That is her one very good talent as an actress".

Dan and his guest then watched the clip from the podcast trailer where Meghan became visibly emotional, and both could not contain their laughter.

Dan added: 'That was more painful than I could ever even imagine. It used to be Oprah Winfrey, and now it is the Jamie Kern Lima show. This is the hit back of all hit backs, and unfortunately, it is more lies."

In the interview, Meghan added that she was "tired of having to prove herself" as a wife and friend. She revealed: "I'm just so done with the prove it game. And if you can't see it, I can't, I don't need to prove to you why. That's your loss."

She added: "Because I know that I'm a great friend, and I know the kind of mom I am, and I know the kind of human being I am."

Meghan has lost a few of her former close circle, including the Beckhams and the Mulroneys, after the fallout that came when she and Prince Harry exited their senior royal duties and moved to America.

Meghan ended her many-year friendship with Jessica Mulroney in 2020 after the stylist became embroiled in a social media argument with blogger Sasha Exeter.
