Meghan Markle has surprised a British TV star with a thoughtful gift—four years after a fiery on-air bust-up that made international headlines. The Duchess of Sussex sent a jar of homemade jam from her new As Ever lifestyle brand and a soft stuffed octopus to ITV weatherman Alex Beresford, who recently welcomed a baby daughter named Camille. The jam is part of Meghan’s recently launched product line, and the Duchess has reportedly been sending out curated packages to selected friends and supporters.

Beresford shared the surprise delivery with fans on social media. He captioned the photo of the jam: "Can't wait to try this! Thank you so much @meghan..." And alongside the adorable octopus for his newborn, he wrote: "...And for Camille's sweet gift!" The sweet gesture comes more than four years after Beresford famously clashed with Piers Morgan live on Good Morning Britain, defending Meghan in a heated exchange that ultimately caused Morgan to storm off set.

The now-infamous March 2021 moment came just one day after Meghan and Prince Harry’s explosive sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey aired, during which the Duchess made several allegations about life inside the royal family.

Morgan, 60, slammed her claims, saying he didn’t believe them—prompting Beresford to step in and call for the attacks to stop.

Beresford told Morgan directly that he had a personal vendetta against Meghan and was “trashing her” repeatedly on-air. The confrontation went viral, and Morgan walked off mid-broadcast, never returning to the show.

It later emerged that Meghan herself had filed a formal complaint with ITV over Morgan’s comments and Morgan was eventually let go from Good Morning Britain.

At the time, Beresford—who has spoken publicly about experiencing racism—was praised for calling out the harsh criticism Meghan was facing.

Now, years later, Meghan’s thoughtful gift appears to be a quiet thank you for his public support.

But not all is sweet in Meghan’s world. The Duchess’s latest podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, is reportedly facing a rocky reception. MailOnline recently claimed that Meghan had attempted to land big-name stars like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift for guest spots but has so far fallen short.

"No one's picking up the phone," one insider claimed. "The show is not landing."

"There's no Taylor Swift. No Beyoncé. Not even a Hailey Bieber. And when you're pitching female empowerment, that's a problem. It speaks volumes for her pulling power. She's not happy about her lack of appeal," the source added.

The new Lemonada podcast is a follow-up to her failed Archetypes series, which was dropped by Spotify in 2023 after they decided not to renew the Sussexes' $25million deal.

Meghan kicked off Confessions of a Female Founder with Bumble creator Whitney Wolfe Herd in its debut episode—but with big-name bookings falling flat, the Duchess may have more than jam to worry about.
