Gwyneth Paltrow has been accused of having a frosty relationship with Prince Harry's wife Meghan Markle, despite insisting that she'd been raised to see other women as "friends, not foes" - and she let her emotions about the "feud" spill as she spoke on The World's First Ever Podcast With Erin and Sara Foster. Letting rip on the April 24 episode, she exclaimed: "You know what I won’t be at this point in my life? I won’t be a pawn in some drummed up, triangulation of women feud for your f*****g clickbait."

She added in no uncertain terms: "Leave us out of it. Don’t do that. I will not stand for that.” Her words come just a month after she got Meghan on screen to demonstrate, when a fan asked: "Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef social media says you two have?" She replied: “I genuinely do not understand this at all whatsoever,” before swivelling the camera to reveal Meghan sitting alongside her and quizzing: “Do you understand this?”

For her part, As Ever founder Meghan threw a hand in the air and shrugged as she snacked on a pie.

The choice of food is no doubt a reference to Gwyneth's earlier jokey public comments about how she didn't know the Duchess well, but planned to "get through her security" to bring her a pie.

Despite the demonstrative gesture of friendship, rumours have continued to circulate about a rift between the two, while comparisons have been made between Gwyneth's longstanding wellness brand Goop and Meghan's newer venture, As Ever.

The actress had told Vanity Fair earlier in the year: “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”

She also stated that she has a "strong instinct to stand up" for the Duchess, whose jams have been going down a storm, after she also launched her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

It comes after fans spotted Gywneth seemingly "mocking" Meghan in a breakfast video she posted.

There are similarities between the pair - but both are adamant that a rivalry has not been sparked.

Both women live in exclusive Montecito, California, while each has two children: Meghan raises five-year-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet with Prince Harry, while Gwyneth co-parents two older kids - 19-year-old Moses and 20-year-old Apple - with her ex-partner Chris Martin of Coldplay.

Last month, Gwyneth confirmed that she didn't know Meghan and Harry well, but insisted she thinks the former seems "lovely".
