Lar Park-Lincoln, who played Linda Fairgate on Dallas spin off Knot’s Landing and also had a role in Murder she Wrote has died at the age of 63. The news was confirmed by her company Actors Audition Studios after she died on Tuesday. No cause of death was disclosed. “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach, on April 22, 2025. Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors," ,” they wrote in the post.“ The star had battled breast cancer in the past, at one point undergoing 17 surgeries in the space of five years.

The star also became a horror movie icon thanks to her role in 1988's Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood, playing a telekinetic woman Tina Shepard who faces off against the villainous Jason Voorhees bedomming the "final girl". Other big screen outings included House II: The Second Story (1987), Fatal Charm (1990) and From the Dark (2009).

Having made her acting debut in the 1985 made-for-television movie Children of the Night her career quickly took off.

Just two years later she landed the rold of Linda on Season 9 of Knot’s Landing in 1987 before returning for a bigger story arc from 1989 to 1991.

Her character was married to Eric Fairgate (Steve Shaw), before she left him for his brother Michael (Patrick Petersen), before enjoying a string of affairs with men including her boss Greg Sumner (William Devane). Eventually, her liasons caught up with her and she was murdered by her last lover Brian Johnston (Philip Brown).

"I would guess Linda was popular because she was so rotten and so fun at the same time,' she told a Knots Landing fan website. "I studied a few people to become Linda, as she went from the brown hair to the blonde meanie."

She also worked extensively as an acting coach, founding the successful Actors Audition Studios in Dallas. "I always loved coaching actors, even when I was a young actor. I always just felt I could see things from the outside," she refelcted in an interview.

In addition to her acting coach work, she wrote the book Get Started, Not Scammed in 1988 and earned the Bronze Halo Award for her contributions to entertainment.

She continued to act and has multiple movies still to be released, including the action films Young Bolsheviks and Bad B****.

She was predeceased by her husband Michael Lincoln, to whom she was married to for 14 years before he died of cancer in 2015 at the age of just 43. She is survived by her daughter Piper, son Trevor, sister Karen, brother Michael, four grandchildren and her poodle Charlie.
