Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal has slammed Harry Potter author JK Rowling over her transgender views. The major dig comes after the Supreme Court has ruled that "woman" in UK law refers to biological sex in a massive ruling, which the Scottish writer has celebrated. Under the Equality Act of 2010, published in full after the judgment, Lord Hodge, Lady Rose, and Lady Simler said, "The definition of sex in the Equality Act 2010 makes clear that the concept of sex is binary, a person is either a woman or a man." JK Rowling and other figures such as Piers Morgan are among the many famous faces to celebrate the court ruling. However, her views have sparked widespread uproar.

Pedro has waded in on the conversation after JK Rowling posted a tweet on X celebrating the decision, typing, "I love it when a plan comes together #SupremeCourt #WomensRights."

Activist and writer Tariq Ra’ouf replied to her tweet, commenting in a video on Instagram, "Don’t watch the show. Don’t go to Universal. Don’t buy a single Harry Potter thing ever. It’s time to tell these corporations that transphobia loses money."

After watching the video clip, Pedro liked the post and typed in the comments section, "Awful disgusting S*** is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."

Pedro recently wore a T-shirt declaring ‘Protect the Dolls’ to the UK premiere of Marvel’s Thunderbolts. The term 'Dolls' is an affectionate term coined by the LGBTQ+ community to describe transgender women.

Sharing her reaction last week on the day of the court ruling, JK Rowling initially reacted, "It took three extraordinary, tenacious Scottish women with an army behind them to get this case heard by the Supreme Court, and, in winning, they’ve protected the rights of women and girls across the UK. @ForWomenScot, I’m so proud to know you." The official X account for For Women Scotland reacted to her comment and replied, "Thank you for everything xxxx." One of the author's followers also replied, "I'm still in disbelief this fundamental truth had to be adjudicated in court."

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan said on Instagram, "Incredible that this is even news… but, very glad to see the UK Supreme Court finally state the bleeding obvious as an unequivocal legal fact, in a massive victory for plain old common sense over woke insanity."
