A popular homeware store has shut its website ahead of closing its stores in just weeks. The chain has also issued an urgent warning to customers as it bids farewell.

Home Store and More is set to close two of its Scottish stores by the end of May. They are located in East Kilbride and Craigleith, with customers given up to 70% off all remaining stock in both shops.

In a recent Facebook post, the store urged shoppers to redeem their gift cards as soon as possible. Once the two stores close, the gift cards will no longer be valid, the owners warned.

However, as reported by The Sun, you need to provide a notice of cancellation within 14 days of receiving the goods and have 14 days from this date to return them. Products can also be returned to the other Home Store and More chains in Scotland.

If you bought a product from the retailer over a month ago, it is now up to the customer service team whether you can return it or not. Some products are exempt from an exchange or refund.

Shoppers have taken to social media to react to the news of the closures. They agreed that both stores will be sorely missed on the high street.

One customer said on Facebook: "So sad this lovely shop is closing. Hope the employees can find employment. Found good deals on batteries yesterday."

A second added: "Gutted for East Kibride and other store. Hoping they come back one day."

A third wrote: "Will miss you very much and genuinely sorry to see you go. Your staff have been outstanding and I wish them all the very best in the future."

A fourth agreed: "Going to miss what was the best shopping experience in East Kilbride. Hope all the staff get new jobs."
