Rylan Clark made a cheeky return to his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday, spilling some gossip to listeners and co-host Orna Merchant. When he almost divulged too much, Rylan paused, wary of "getting in trouble".

During the broadcast, a promo for Race Across the World led Rylan to begin: "Do you know what's weird Orna? Oh... can I say this?" His fellow presenter then prompted him with: "Give me a clue."

Caught between openness and caution, Rylan hesitated, saying: "Do we know where the Race people have gone for this season? No? I was going to say something, but I better not because I'll just get in trouble by the BBC won't I? But if I can tell you where it is, then I'll tell you my story."

It was only after confirmation from his producer that he could share series five of Race Across the World was filmed in Asia, which includes strenuous journeys across China, Nepal, and India without modern conveniences or finances, that Rylan relaxed.

The initial confusion about broadcasting details of the yet-to-air series unfolded into Rylan revealing an amusing anecdote about how he and Rob Rinder encountered the Race Across the World team during their own travel show's filming in India.

With a touch of humour, Rylan quipped: "Well, basically, when I was filming Rob and Rylan, I bumped into the Race Across the World crew!

"That's what I was saying! I didn't know if I was allowed to say, because I didn't know if people knew where Race Across the World was this time!"

Rylan then boldly declared: "Do you know what? If I get in trouble, I get in trouble. I've had a lovely run, and it would be nice to have a weekend off!"

In a defiant mood, the Big Brother celebrity proceeded to mockingly address Radio 2 listeners who had been wondering why they should vote for his Rylan On Saturday show to win a TRIC Award, given his recent absences due to filming obligations for his reality series, Dating Naked UK.

He retorted: "I've seen all your messages on Twitter saying, 'why am I going to vote for you for an award when you're never in?'

"Darling, I'm busy, I've got a job, I don't have weekends off! I've just been in Panama for three weeks filming naked people!".

Anticipation is mounting among fans eager to follow Rylan and Rob's new escapades, following the success of their initial series set in Italy, which garnered high praise from both critics and audiences.

The BBC programme even sparked speculation that Rylan and Rob might be more than just co-stars due to their natural rapport on screen.

Nonetheless, the duo has made it clear they are merely good friends, with Rylan jokingly telling Express.co.uk: "Me and Rob are like an old married couple but we don't have sex. We are a typical married couple!".
