A major fire broke out early this morning at an industrial site in Birmingham, prompting a large emergency response involving around 75 firefighters. 15 fire engines were dispatched to the scene on Warwick Road in Sparkhill at around 7:15am, the BBC reported. According to West Midlands Fire Service, the blaze engulfed around 40% of the factory and impacted three other businesses.
No injuries have been reported so far. Emergency services have urged the public to steer clear of the area and local residents have been advised to keep windows and doors shut due to smoke. Road closures are currently in place between Tyseley Hill Road and Wharfadale Road.
