The village is located on the South West Coastal Path, offering scenic walks and views. Polperro also has a vibrant artistic community, with galleries and events showcasing local talent.

Due to its narrow streets, cars are not allowed to enter the village itself. Visitors park their vehicles at the edge of the village and explore on foot, so as soon as you get out of your car, it’s like ‘stepping back in time!’.

There's lots to do as you wander through the streets. You can browse local shops, visit museums and historical attractions and appreciate the village's unique culture and art.

Polperro Harbour Heritage Museum is an excellent museum dedicated to the village’s history of smuggling and fishing. Though it stands small, “This little museum is well worth an hour of your time if in Polperro” , wrote Karrst on TripAdvisor. With a vast array of exhibits and displays that depict the village’s role in illegal free trade dating back to the 18th century.

The Polperro Arts Foundation is another notable must see attraction. The foundation operates a gallery in Polperro Village Hall where they exhibit the work of their members. They are a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting local artists and the art scene in the village.

Be sure to visit the village's best pub, The Three Pilchards, where you can enjoy a hearty meal and a pint or a glass of wine. This traditional Cornish pub will be an unmissable feature to your holiday with loads who believe the same! Yvonne V wrote, “ From beginning to end fabulous experience. Dog's looked after! Fabulous Fish and Homemade chips. Homemade cheesecake too!”

Polperro's natural coastline offers a variety of experiences, from swimming in natural tidal pools to exploring rocky shores and hidden coves. The village is known for its small beach near the harbor, which is sandy at low tide. Visitors can also enjoy the South West Coast Path, offering scenic walks with panoramic views.

Polperro Beach and Chapel Rock Tidal Pool is a small beach close to the harbour, perfect for paddling and swimming, especially at low tide. Chapel Rock features a Victorian-era tidal pool, accessible by steps, offering a safe swimming option.

The South West Coast Path is a rewarding trek for hikers, offering a stunning coastal walk with views of the sea and countryside. It leads to hidden beaches, dramatic cliffs, and breathtaking vistas.
