Samuel Ompreon, a 24 year old content creator and football coach from Kennington, had stopped by the shop with a friend to grab a few essentials.

However, things took an unexpected turn when his friend received a bank notification on his phone, revealing the staggering amount had been deducted from his account.

The pair had already paid and were about to leave the shop when the alert caught their attention, prompting them to swiftly return to the counter and query the cashier about the error.

Reflecting on the bizarre incident, Samuel recalled: "It was a bit crazy when we first noticed.

"We realised what had happened pretty quickly and knew it was just an accident.

"So, to be fair, it was pretty funny.

"Obviously, it wasn't so funny that the money actually got taken - but we knew it wasn't malicious and that they'd be OK to give it back."
