Struggling with currency conversions on your holiday while abroad?
Internet troubles often leaving you guessing about exchange rates in a foreign shop?
Well one woman has come to the rescue with an iPhone hack to end your financial woes - and it's as simple as using your calculator app.
Digital guru Helen Gu revealed a nifty trick for travellers. She shared that just by opening up the iPhone calculator and tapping the feature button on the bottom left, you can switch to a "convert" function. This allows users to enter an amount in pounds and convert it instantly to the local currency of almost any country they are in.
Helen claims this currency converter hack "changed everything" for her holidays.
Social media users have erupted in appreciation for this savvy solution. One user commented: "Honestly, I don't know why they didn't make this a thing sooner..." Another person added: "Am I the only one that immediately closed Instagram to open the calculator app to try this? I am amazed at this".
While someone else exclaimed: "WHAT! Every day I find something new on this phone I feel like a grandma lol."
One woman also added: "What? That would have saved my money in South Korea," while another joked: "WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I SWIPED MY CARD AND ENDED UP SPENDING OVER $400 (£314) AT DON QUIJOTE," referring to a popular Japanese discount store.
One man however expressed surprise that people were unaware of this feature, stating: "Do people really not know that? How do you go without knowing the inside and out of most, if not all, of your apps within the first weeks you get your phone?" Another user pointed out that Android users had been privy to this feature "for ages".
Some users of older iPhones also lamented that they "couldn't update" their phones to access this feature, so they'd have to make do with their standard calculator.
