Star of BBC's Morning Live, Helen Skelton, has shared that she is "still not over it" as she shared an update after taking part in a fundraiser for Comic Relief 2025. The 41-year-old and her co-star, Gethin Jones, had been participating in the Wheely Big Challenge - a 24-hour roller disco - to raise funds on Friday (March 21).

Gethin, 47, was almost forced to withdraw from the challenge after a nasty fall, with just half an hour left and medical assistance rushing to his aid. Now, sharing an update to Instagram and captioning a collation of video clips from the fundraising event, Helen wrote: "Still not over it. Sorry…. Humbled by your generosity and so impressed the @bbcmorninglive team pulled this off…

"Raised over a million for some charities that lift all of our communities. Celebrated some unbelievably selfless people and their work. Broadcast live for around 26 hours. Shone a light on volunteers who deserve the credit. True privilege to be part of."

She then gushed over her co-star, Gethin Jones, who almost had to pull out of the event due to an injury. Helen heartwarmingly penned: "My dear @gethincjones… You are some man.

"I don’t publicly say often enough how much love and respect I have for you my friend because I assume it is well known, but for the record you’re a legend and I am beyond grateful to have you by my side on the rink, the sofa and beyond. I can gush he doesn’t read beyond one paragraph on an Insta post."

On Friday, ppdating viewers on Morning Live, host Sara Cox said: "Now, this is really horrible. Gethin has just had - this is really serious - a massive fall. Look at this. He's so stiff anyway and just seized up. Genuinely it was make-or-break whether he could finish the challenge but he's determined the get to that finish line."

Following the event, posting from his bed, still in his sporting attire with his hand on his head, Gethin provided fans with an update.

He wrote: "Just woken up after a few hours sleep. I’m so confused [crying laughing emoji]. Did not know why I had this top on, or where I was! It will take a little while to process the last 24hours.

"I’m BLOWN away by your generosity. I’m emotional about how much this will help people who have nowhere to turn. I think there’s a few minutes left to donate. I think the details are still in the bio. I’ve not long got my phone back, the ML social team have been busy on here."

In another update, he shared: "I was an absolute mess at the end. I'm [in] a lot of difficulty physically. The order of pics are jumbled, because it’s impossible to collect all my thoughts."
