An eerie clip of CCTV footage has left millions of social media users terrified as it captured a “headless horseman” galloping through a street in the middle of the night. The scary moment was captured in in the city of Tetecala in south-central Mexico at around 12.51 am last week.

The video shows a ghostly figure appearing moments after the sound of a galloping horse on the streets of Mexico. The scary video clip has been viewed by millions of people, and many have wondered about the mysterious figure. The mysterious rider on horseback quickly vanishes out of sight, with the people questioning its presence.

The incident has not only left the online community baffled but even the residents of the town are worried, local media has reported. 

It has been claimed that many of the residents heard the galloping sounds of the horse, but no one saw the horse or rider after that moment. 

The strange video has garnered over 5.5 million views, more than 455,000 likes, and nearly 4,000 comments since it was shared, reports The Sun. 

One viewer said: “The horse looks without skin like a horse already decomposed with only bones.”

A second added: “Who’s that just sitting there and didn’t see when the horse passed?”

A third chimed in: “But if it's almost 2 am, what's a man doing sitting there? I don't understand.”
