Jeremy Clarkson became a topic of conversation for social media users as one fan shared what it was like meeting the car-enthusiast. The former Grand Tour presenter, 64, and now star of Clarkson's Farm has enjoyed a successful career on television for the past 36 years. Having made his TV debut on BBC's Top Gear in 1988 he has gone onto star in various other shows and more recently became the host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. But fans ae eager to know what the outspoken columnist is really like behind the scenes.

One Reddit user described an interaction they had with Clarkson at his Diddly Squat Farm, which he officially opened in 2020. The Oxfordshire farm has attracted people from around the world which has resulted in large queues of visitors waiting to get into his shop and get their hands on his handgrown products. A social media user penned: "Went to the Diddly Squat farm shop on its first day open and Jeremy did selfies with everyone, entertained all in a mud filled car park and told a 17 year old lad not to worry if banged the Bentley he had just parked next to. We also ended up on TV a good day out with a great host."

Another person who had admittedly had a similar experience gushed: "My son and I met him at the farm shop as well, while visiting from the U.S. Just happened to get lucky, turning up on a filming day when the shop wasn't jammed with customers.

"We were trying to mind our own business, which Jezza must have appreciated because he approached us to chat about a couple of his products. He asked us about our travels and happily stood for a selfie with my son. He then asked if I wanted one, and Lisa joined us for that, which was an unexpected bonus.

"I know he's not always so easygoing, so I'm grateful we had such a good experience!"

A third user shared a behind the scenes moment after a friend worked as a camera operator on The Grand Tour.

They shared: "A really good friend of mine is a camera operator on The Grand Tour and operated on Top Gear from 2008 - 2017.

"I’ve asked him this exact question and he said that Jeremy, James [May] and Richard [Hammond] have always been exceptionally kind to the crew, which says a lot.

"I’ve never worked with him myself, but generally when an entertainer or an actor are kind to the crew, that’s a pretty good inclination that they are decent people, because they most certainly do not have to be."
