John Bishop kicked two audience members out of his comedy show after they allegedly exhibited "aggressive" behaviour. The 58-year-old was performing at the Princess Theatre in Torquay last Thursday when he confronted a man and a woman in the front row, who wouldn't stop talking throughout his set. The comedian, who is performing across the UK in his Back At It tour, repeatedly asked the couple to be quiet before reportedly running out of patience, with other audience members claiming that he requested they leave the theatre.

Footage from inside the gig shows John telling the couple "this is a live show" before gesturing to other audience members and saying: "See him, see her, they have as much right as you to enjoy the show." The man in the front row reportedly gestured towards the comedian in an "aggressive" manner before he was escorted out by security.

The woman is then seen standing up before being escorted out by security, with John exclaiming "see you then" as other audience members erupted into applause.

An onlooker said: "John warned a couple on the front row several times for the show to stop speaking. After the interval they continued doing so and then John told them he wanted them to leave."

They continued: "The man then stood up and gestured towards John as if he was going to jump on stage. Security got to him in time, grabbed him by the cuff of his shirt and then slammed him through two fire doors.

"My video only recorded the aftermath in which he then wanted this man's wife thrown out of the building and slightly later two of their friends were also thrown out."

Others commented on the incident on social media, with several praising John for his actions. "I’m not a fan of John Bishop’s comedy, but he comes across as a decent bloke," one wrote.

Another agreed: "There’s always one; Good lad John for putting them in their place, you are brilliant," as a third echoed: "Well done John; Why do people do this?"

It comes after Peter Kay kicked two hecklers out of his gig while performing in Manchester in February. Phillip Peters, 54, claimed he was "treated like a terrorist" by security staff after shouting "garlic bread" during one of Peter's performances in February.

Meanwhile Myar Curran, 25, was also removed from the show after shouting "we love you Peter," with the comedian likening her to Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley as she was being ejected. Just a few weeks ago, a fan was removed from Jimmy Carr's gig after they annoyed four other audience members so much that they threatened to walk out.
