Gene Hackman’s daughters have reportedly hired a private investigator to delve into the cause of his death, sources claim. The Hollywood veteran was found dead alongside his wife Betsy Arakawa in their Santa Fe home last month.

“This doesn’t add up. It feels like someone is trying to cover something up – and Gene’s daughters will not rest until the truth is revealed. It comes after new bodycam footage revealed that Betsy and Gene were being followed for two months before their deaths.

In a clip from a police interview that has now been made public by Fox News, the classical pianist’s hairstylist has explained the star’s fears regarding their mystery “stalker”.

Betsy told Christopher about two incidents in December where a stranger parked outside their gated residence and waited for the couple to go for a drive. Once they were in their car, he tailed them to their destination before approaching them.
